Why I love winter?

Today is my second contribution to the Grizzly Gazette Advent Calendar, and today’s subject will be about why I love winter.

Every year, I’m waiting for the spring and summer to pass. I love it when it’s getting darker and colder. (I have picked up this subject in my seasonal depression article, so if you want to read further about why I am like this, check it out!)

But not all is about the things I’ve mentioned, which are the reasons why. When I think about winter, I think about spending time together, about caring for each other. I love the atmosphere that Christmas brings, even though the retail workers probably would rather rip their ears off than listen to Mariah Carey for the hundredth time in a day.

I’ll throw in the cliché and say maybe Christmas does have something magical in it. Definitely not something supernatural, but maybe it’s something that just gives my preferences a balance where I feel comfortable. #fuckswelteringheat

Take care of yourself and others, because while you can love winter, others may not. Others may see winter as a conglomeration of gloominess, cold, and inconveniences. Show them understanding and warmth :]
