How to get whatever you want?

Ask and you shall receive

Asking is the beginning of receiving. You’ve probably missed countless opportunities simply because you were too afraid to ask, or because you didn’t believe you’d be given what you wanted. Have faith. Believe that you can get what you want just like a child, without hesitation and doubt.

Be like him. At the time of writing this, he’s been asking people every day for 290days as part of his “365 days of rejection” project. He had so many fun, spontaneous experiences with strangers just because he asked. He still gets rejected, he’s not someone for whom people can’t say no. He just doesn’t let rejections pull him down. He approaches people with faith, and believe it or not, he gets what he asks for most of the time.

Most people never even give themselves that chance. They talk themselves out of opportunities before they begin. We fear rejection because we mistake it for a reflection of our worth - but it’s not. It’s just a part of the process. Every “no” simply filters out the wrong person or the wrong moment, bringing you closer to a “yes”

To increase your chances of getting what you want, it needs to be clear and specific. Be specific so you won’t end up disappointed that something didn’t match your expectations. People can’t read your mind as of yet, so give clear specifications and give good reasons. A good reason makes people want to say yes.

The next time you hesitate, remember this: the worst thing that can happen is hearing “no.” And you’ve already survived that word many times before.
